Meet Our Core Team

TANGIE NEWBORN, CLC, CDE

President and Founder

Tangie is a seasoned consultant and DEI practitioner with over 30 years of experience working with businesses, associations, and nonprofits in various capacities. She is known for her strategic focus and savvy fundraising skills, which have been used to turnaround several organizations and increase their bottom-line.Before consultancy, she served as CEO of several associations and nonprofits, Town Administrator for a Maryland municipality, and association executive for various organizations

Tangie is also a Certified Life Coach, Executive Coach, author, and speaker. She is the recipient of the 2021 Mayer Handelman Awardand serves on various nonprofit boards, including the editorial board of Nonprofit World Magazine.

JAMAL NEWBORN

Co-Founder

Jamal manages our California office and has more than ten years of integrated marketing experience with a background that helps brands utilize their full potential through physical and digital means. He is best known for his decisive “consumer-centric” approach to marketing and consumer-experiential environments in the Washington, DC, and California (Bay Area) business communities.

Using strategic branding and marketing techniques, Jamal has successfully increased revenue for many companies, including over 30 start-ups. In addition to serving as co-founder of IBS, he is the founder of Exposyour. In addition, Jamal is the former president of the Board of the nonprofit San Jose Police Activities League (PAL); and currently serves on various boards, including the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce and the Silicon Valley Capital Club Board of Governors.

Kim V. Thompson, Sr.

Business Development Strategist

With over 30 years management experience, Kim’s background includes a blend of experience in hospitality sales, conference management, communications, marketing and executive leadership. He has successfully guided many companies through strategies that have created continuous financial growth and stability.

ENID-MAI JONES

Intercultural, Diversity & Inclusion Consultant

With over 20 years of experience in association and nonprofit management, Enid-Mai is a Certified Diversity and Inclusion Executive who provides our clients with consultation in organization development, interpersonal and intercultural relations, DEI Development and training, conference management, and program development. Additionally, she assists with developing and implementing customized training and evaluation tools to assess and implement strategies and solutions to help organizations develop best practices.
